John Carpenter

If my heart was writing this introduction it would probably begin with my "Oh my God," and then start  an endless trail of exclamation points. However, that would be pretty taxing on you (although completely accurate of my joy). I was able to interview the legendary John Carpenter, a man who created so many films and characters that I (and probably you as well) love. I would did a quick run through of his long resume but I'm sure you know his work by heart.

And now I'm going to set this up in three sentences or I will probably ramble forever. I interviewed a director whose films I have enjoyed and admired for many years. It was amazing-- just like him. Here is the interview.

HUGE thank you to Loyd Cryer and Texas Frightmare Weekend for making this interview possible.

Editor's Note: The lighting in this video gets pretty bad. We had an Iris issue with the camera but didn't want to stop the interview to fix (you don't wanna interrupt the Carpenter when he's speaking).  If  at any point the lighting gets irritable, just close your eyes and listen.

You lucky dog!!…Awesome interview Rusty! So informative and his opinions on remakes, CGI/Practical effects and the movie business makes me like him even more!

I got to meet him on Saturday and was just in awe at how humble he was but I sure wish I could have talked him at length like you did;)

I just love his movies and as far as his upcoming work, I can't wait for The Ward.

Great Interview. John Carpenter is my most favorite director. He never disappointed me with any film he's done. Well maybe Ghosts of Mars but I need to take a look at that film again since I haven't seen it in a long time. My favorite part in this interview is when the camera is not working and Mr. Carpenter is very concern.

Thank you for the man who interviewed him because I love to watch these interviews where the old directors talk about their movies they made thirty years ago. I tried to watch to watch the one with George A. Romero but at 12:03 it stopped working all of sudden. I'll take a look later but anyway, thanks a bunch. Love it and don't stop doing it.

Thanks for the nice words and heads up! I've updated the Romero interview, so watch away! :)
