How does one capture a man that has been, and will continue to be, a symbol for generations? A poet, a weapon for peace, and of course one of the most prolific musicians (both solo and ensemble) this world will ever see. That man is John Lennon. The film about his life is NOWHERE BOY.

But NOWHERE BOY takes a different approach to explore the life of Lennon, in that it focuses on his boyhood years as “a spirited teenager, curious, sharp and funny, growing up in the war shattered city of Liverpool in dreary post-war Britain.” I, for one, am intrigued, as this is a side of the man not many know. We know who he became, now we shall get a glimpse at how he came to be.

KICK-ASS' Aaron Johnson stars as the young Lennon and apparently does quite the phenomenal job as you might imagine. Check out our interview with the actor HERE from Sundance this past year, as well our review of the film HERE!
