As he did two years ago with KNOCKED UP, Seth Rogen will be premiering his comedy OBSERVE & REPORT at the South By Southwest Film Festival. The film tells the story of Ronnie Barnhardt (Rogen), a bi-polar mall cop on a mission to stop a flasher from terrorizing the mall and its patrons. OBSERVE & REPORT also stars Anna Farris as a perfume counter girl and Ray Liotta as a short-tempered detective brought on to the case. The film was written and directed by Jody Hill (THE FOOT FIST WAY).

This year's SXSW film festival will open with the premiere of I LOVE YOU, MAN featuring fellow Apatownian Paul Rudd followed by OBSERVE & REPORT as the festival's centerpiece. SXSW also feature the likes of Robert Rodriguez, Mike Judge and Catherine Hardwicke appearing as panelists. I would expect to see a few more big names announced over the coming months, as SXSW has built a reputation for itself as one of the top film fests. The film portion of the festival runs March 13-21 with the music portion taking place March 18-22. Check out www.sxsw.com for more info.

Gordon and the Whale is sure to be there! Are you? Come on, all the cool kids are going...
