Rosamund Pike joins CLASH OF THE TITANS sequel
While the original film in the apparently growing CLASH OF THE TITANS franchise was relatively unimpressive, it’s apparently gotten enough top tier talent to join in the upcoming sequel.
The film currently stars Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell, Gemma Arterton, and Sam Worthington, with Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes likely returning. And now, according to Deadline, another really great name has joined this project.
The outlet is reporting that Rosamund Pike will play Andromeda in the upcoming Jonathan Liebesman-directed project. She will be taking the place of Alexa Davalos, who played the role in Louis Leterrier’s original feature.
A March 30, 2012 release is in place for the film, so production should be ramping up relatively soon, and with the buzz behind Liebesman’s latest film, BATTLE: LOS ANGELES, this is one film that should hopefully surpass the film prior. It has a really great cast, and while I’m not totally sold on the director yet, it does sound like an interesting film, and one to keep an eye on for you fans of bigger blockbuster fare.
