Rosemarie DeWitt, John Krasinski, and Olivia Thirlby to star in NOBODY WALKS; co-written by Lena Dunham
Ever since making quite a splash with her last film, TINY FURNITURE, writer/director/actress Lena Dunham has become something of a polarizing figure amongst the film world. The upcoming Criterion release made the festival and theatrical rounds last year, to definitively mixed reviews, but that doesn’t appear to have stopped her.
Variety is reporting that Rosemarie DeWitt, John Krasinski, and Olivia Thirlby are all in talks to join the upcoming film, NOBODY WALKS. Co-written by Dunham, the film will be helmed by YOU WON’T MISS ME director Ry Russo-Young.
The film is based in LA, and follows a family over the span of a week after taking in an artist. The artist in turn begins to change their lives, be that for better or worse. One would have to imagine that the artist here would be played by Thirlby, but no roles have been designated at this point.
Personally, I was on the side of the fence of those who really adored TINY FURNITURE. As a fan of Dunham and particularly her writing, this is a film that I really can’t wait for. I’m not sold on Krasinski as an actor, but both Thirlby and DeWitt are fantastic actresses, and fit this type of project perfectly. What do you think?
