What I’m Rushing To Buy:

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD didn’t defeat the box office, but this, my friends, will not stop it from collecting some major coins for its Blu-ray/DVD release. Following the foot steps of KICK-ASS, SCOTT PILGRIM has garnered a gigantic fan base, which slightly confused everyone when it didn’t do too well during its theatrical release.  Director Edgar Write did not go light on the special features. ANTICHRIST (The Criterion Collection)

Chaos reigned at Cannes when this screened at the festival. This Criterion DVD comes with an audio commentary by director Lars von Trier and professor Murray Smith, along with video interviews with the cast and crew, a book with an essay written by film scholar Ian Christie, and “Chaos Reigns at the Cannes Film Festival 2009,” the documentary.

GOLDEN GIRLS: 25th Anniversary Complete Collection
the golden girls

Life just wouldn’t be as easy without the friendships of Blanche, Rose, Sophia, and Dorthy. Out today, GOLDEN GIRLS: 25th Anniversary Complete Collection comes in a golden purse with all seven seasons, along with four collectible (and priceless, depending on your view of the show) trading cards. There are no special features, but the golden purse sells it.

Other New Releases:

GROWN UPS

should be a hit. It wasn’t. Without a good movie, special features really don’t matter.
