SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD soundtrack score now streaming online
Why isn't there a SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD edition of Rock Band? Who dropped the ball on this? If the game did exist, it would feature music from such notables as The Rolling Stones, Frank Black of The Pixies, Metric, and slacker prophet Beck. Instead, the 18-track soundtrack is now streaming online in its entirety here, and it's full of awesome.
You can also check out the entire score for the film, which was crafted by Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich, Beck, Osymyso, and Dan the Automator. In addition to all of the incendiary tunes recorded by real-life actual bands, the soundtrack also features four songs from the Sex Bob-ombs (Michael Cera on bass, Mark Webber on vocals, and Alison Pill on drums) and two tunes from another fictional band that appears in SCOTT PILGRIM called Crash and the Boys. The Sex Bob-ombs songs were all written by Beck, and all six tracks really add to the eclectic vibe of the entire record - a soundtrack that's sure to be replayed almost as much as the movie will be.
I still just want to play the Rock Band version, personally. SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD is in theaters this Friday!
