TRANSFORMERS 3

Michael Bay is known for the massive scope of his projects, which recently has been the TRANSFORMERS franchise, some of the most 'splodey fun times in all of cinema. That is what makes his next project, PAIN & GAIN so appealing. The film is supposed to be much smaller, with a fraction of the budget of the TRANSFORMERS films.

Now, screenwriter Scott Rosenberg has been brought on to do some work on the shooting script for the film.

The film follows two bodybuilders, who just so happen to also live a life of crime and how they deal with things when a situation goes bad. The bodybuilders will be played by Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I like the casting of these two, as they both can be quite good when utilized well. Rosenberg is likely to come in and try to infuse as much character as possible, as Bay films aren't really known for that kind of storytelling.

I'm excited to see what Bay can do with this kind of film. I've never really seen Bay as a bad filmmaker per se, his films just usually aren't known for their quality storytelling. But as far as the production goes, he is top tier. My hopes are high for now, hopefully it turns out well.
