With the film only a few months away from release, we have gotten a brand new trailer for the upcoming fourth film in the SCREAM horror film franchise and I must say, I’m still not quite sure how to feel about this project.

SCREAM 4 is the first film in a new trilogy of films penned by Kevin Williamson and directed by iconic horror filmmaker Wes Craven, and sees the return of Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, reprising their roles from the legendary new-age horror franchise.  The new film is a decade after the last one, and this long time away has seen the world of horror films change, and thus, changing the rules within these referential horror films.

As a whole, I’m not all that intrigued by what I’ve seen so far.  I’m a huge fan of the film’s cast, and I do have a lot of love for the franchise, one that I don’t genuinely think gets the love it should.  That all said, this trailer is just not as compelling as one would hope.

However, the film hits on April 15, so soon enough, we’ll be able to make up our minds.

What do you think?
