Seth Gordon to helm THE HAS-BEENS
You know, those Colbert Report writers are some smart and gifted little cookies. One of them, Max Werner, just found himself one hell of a big name to direct his new screenplay.
Variety reports that Seth Gordon will direct THE HAS-BEENS, based on Werner’s script. The film is one of many that Gordon has on his plate, including a WARGAMES remake, a narrative take on his acclaimed documentary THE KING OF KONG, and possibly a HORRIBLE BOSSES sequel to go along with what appears to be his next project, IDENTITY THEFT.
Details on this film are scarce, other than that it re-teams Gordon with New Line, a studio he’s worked with before. While I’m not quite aboard the Gordon bandwagon, I do think that he has an eye for comedy, so this is definitely a film I’ll be watching out for. I have yet to see a narrative feature of his I actually like, so here’s hoping that all changes.
