Seth Grahame-Smith penning new project for Tim Burton

April 10th, 2012

Apparently Tim Burton isn’t one to break from his norm (whatever that may be).

THR recently chatted up Seth Grahame-Smith, writer of the book Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, who revealed that he’ll be penning yet another film for new oft-partner Burton.

A stop-motion project, the film is entitled NIGHT OF THE LIVING, and joins DARK SHADOWS and the pending BEETLEJUICE sequel as films that Grahame-Smith has been working on for the polarizing raven-haired auteur. Details on the project are nowhere to be found, but one can only imagine that given Burton’s disdain for breaking out of his comfort zone that this will somehow be exactly like every previous Burton feature. Personally, I haven’t been inspired by a Burton film since ED WOOD, his best film, so this one doesn’t sound all that interesting.  I don’t get the love for Grahame-Smith's brand of novel, and frankly don’t have the highest of hopes for this one.
