Simon Pegg

With all the rumors and speculation surrounding Tom Cruise's involvement in the next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE film, why not report on some much happier news?  Negotiations are currently underway to secure Simon Pegg for a reprisal of  his role in M:I 4 as the nerdy, nervous tech guy Benji Dunn.

This is excellent news,  although its still not solid. I feel Brad Bird has a good sense of comedy, and with the comedic genius of Simon Pegg ( go rent the SPACED seasons, seriously) he has the potential to be a scene stealer.  Granted, Bird is good at action as well (THE INCREDIBLES), and MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE films are very action driven with lots of explosions and what not.  So although I would like to get as much Pegg laughs as I can, a MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE with a HOT FUZZ or SHAUN OF THE DEAD kind of feel would be awesome but clearly not going to happen.  The JJ Abrams and Cruise story is still very hush hush, so more to come on this as always.
