Laura Vandervoort in TED
Smallville’s insanely attractive Supergirl Laura Vandervoort has joined TED, the feature film debut from Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad).

Ms. Vandervoort joins the already stellar cast, including Mark Wahlberg (THE FIGHTER), Mila Kunis (BLACK SWAN), Joel McHale (Community), Giovanni Ribisi (AVATAR), and Patrick Warburton (Family Guy). Vandervoort will play Mark Wahlberg’s co-worker in the film that tells the story of John (Wahlberg) whose teddy bear comes alive because of a childhood wish.

This is not Vandervoort’s first time to work with MacFarlane; the actress provided her voice talent for several episodes of Family Guy.

While the premise of the film sounds funny enough, MacFarlane has yet to really impress me. I enjoyed his character in HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, but aside from that, I don’t understand his appeal. However, TED has an excellent cast, and MacFarlane’s writing is occasionally hilarious, so I’m hoping that TED lives up to its comedy potential.

TED is set for a July 2012 release from Universal Pictures, are you excited?
