Director Steven Soderbergh seems determined to gather incredible lists of actors for his upcoming features. Lately, all the news has been about his KNOCKOUT, which so far has a cast list that includes Dennis Quaid, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Channing Tatum, Bill Paxton, and Ewan McGregor, along with reported cast members Antonio Banderas and Michael Angarano.

Not content to let the rest of Hollywood rest on its laurels, Soderbergh has now cast a still more impressive cast for his CONTAGION - including Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, and Jude Law.

CONTAGION is set to be Soderbergh's next after KNOCKOUT (and before the much-buzzed about Liberace biopic). Soderbergh is so excited about the film that he is pushing for a quick start - likely this fall.

The film is described as "tak[ing] place in a worst case scenario of a deadly virus." The script, penned by Scott Z. Burns (THE INFORMANT!, which Soderbergh also directed, also with Damon), takes place on four continents and is "a multi-strand film." Oh, also? It's "terrifying."

The film does not yet have financing, but with all the above names attached, I can't imagine it won't be a quick seller.
