Scenes from the Suburbs

Here is the trailer for Spike Jonze‘s Arcade Fire short film SCENES FROM THE SUBURBS, thanks to our friends at The Film Stage. The short is set to show at SXSW on Wednesday, but for now take a look at the trailer. Don’t worry if you’re like me and are not attending the film festival, the film will be getting a DVD release in May.

The short is narrated by frontman Win Butler and was written by Win and Will Butler along with Jonze. From the looks of the trailer, Win has a cameo as a police that you can see at the 27 second mark. I am digging the feel of the film from the trailer. Check it out and share your thoughts below!

Official synopsis:

“I wish I could remember every little moment. But I can’t. Why do I only remember the moments that I do. I wonder what happens to the others.” A group of suburban youths. Back then, in the summer, so long ago. They couldn’t leave town because outside the country was at war and the military controlled life and all gateways. The teenagers wander aimlessly about town. Winter is a long way off. And love and longing and friendship still mean – everything.”
