Spoke Art presents Quentin VS. Coen art show
If ever there were a group of modern auteurs to pit against each other in a battle of artistic expressions based on their artistic expressions, it would be Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers. Well, San Francisco-based Spoke Art has brought the cinematic titans together in a twosome tribute, featuring art inspired by the works of Quentin, Joel, and Ethan.
Artist, and pal to Gordon and the Whale, Derek Gabryszak has a few pieces in the show, including an updated version of one of his TRUE ROMANCE-inspired works that we featured a while back, as well as a new FARGO-influenced piece entitled “I Got The 3 Cent Stamp, Margie.”
The show will be going down April 7th, 8th, and 9th at Bold Hype Gallery in New York City. Don’t live in New York City? Lucky for you that Spoke will make available the pieces and prints that don’t get sold off after the show, for your purchasing pleasure in their online store. Check out some more of the featured prints after the break, including Gabryszak’s FARGO, Jason Levesque’s “Mia Wallace,” Brandon Schaefer’s INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, and Greg Gossel’s THE BIG LEBOWSKI.
