Twitter is a magical place. Allowing celebrities and the people who have unhealthy addictions to them to interact. Today, the great Marvel comic giant Stan Lee tweeted some interesting news regarding the long anticipated ANT-MAN film and several others…

To make up for my previous grievous error, here’s a little item that may have escaped you. Marvel is prepping a movie starring– Ant Man! I had lunch with the cool , young director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and, as you’d imagine, we had fun discussing the tiny hero Ant Man is just one of the many wild treats Marvel has planned for you, such as Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Black Panther and more, more, more! But time enough for entertainment after our mission has been accomplished. Now if only I could remember what our mission is! Of course, it might be easier to create a perfect world with 1,000,000 Brigadiers than with 40,000. Math was never my strong suit! Be patient, Brigadiers. Marvel, Disney and POW! have wonderment awaiting you. And your Generalissimo hasn’t lost a battle yet! Excelsior!

Bam! Pow! There you have it. Stan Lee uses some pretty sweet old man language ("excelsior") to bring my nerd hype level to full power. ANT-MAN has been rumored for quite a long time now. Popular director Edgar Wright has also been rumored to be at the helm. In fact, his Twitter feed would also indicate that he is still behind the wheels…

“Sometimes you shouldn’t meet your heroes in case they disappoint. @smilinstanlee does not disappoint.”

I know it all feels a little gossipy, but why not? If anyone was well-suited to take on ANT-MAN it would be Wright. While I am not a huge fan of the tiny hero (really? his super-power is to become tiny?) I think it could be a lot of fun if someone like Wright was directing.

As for Black Panther, Dr. Strange, and Iron Fist, we will just have to wait and see. As of now, consider the hype machine officially running full force. KAPOW!
