Sundance 2010: First clip from SPLICE shows creatures want love too
Back in 2007, young filmmaker Vincenzo Natali made one of the coolest films of our time, the claustrophobic mind-fuck CUBE. Since then, we've all been waiting for an equally awesome follow-up. He had segment in PARIS, JE T'AIME, but now he's back in full throttle with his new film, SPLICE.
SPLICE is a sci-fi flick starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, their characters create a creature called Dren that rapidly grows and becomes more than they can bear. Think Frankenstein. Guillermo del Toro executive produced the film and it's making its debut on January 22nd at the Sundance Film Festival. We will be there to see this, so expect a full report on the 23rd!
Until this, check out this Shock Till You Drop exclusive clip, which introduces the two creatures that geneticists Clive (Brody) and Elsa (Polley) have created.
