Davis Guggenheim's documentary IT MIGHT GET LOUD, featuring guitarists Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge talking about and working the guitar, came out just a few months ago. And now the director has a new full-length documentary completed, WAITING FOR SUPERMAN. This latest doc for Guggenheim goes in a pretty (OK, extremely) different direction than IT MIGHT GET LOUD, with the film focusing on the problems with the education system in the United States.

Davis struggled to get WAITING FOR SUPERMAN together in time for Sundance, as he had to edit two separate films he made on the education system into one final product in just three weeks. Despite the major time constraint, Davis was able to get WAITING FOR SUPERMAN ready in time for Sundance. One of the many great results of that came from WAITING SUPERMAN being completed in time is it allowed me to interview Davis about the film at Sundance. That is a definite "yay" situation for me, and for you as well, as now there is a very cool interview with Davis Guggenheim for you to watch after the jump.
