Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen are turning into pretty much an unstoppable comedy writing force, one that has yet to have a mis-step. With such credits as SUPERBAD, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, and upcoming THE GREEN HORNET under their belts, it makes sense that they would be brought on to a revive a floundering comedy from the grave. That little film just so happens to be NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is a film that once had Ruben Fleischer attached to it, about group of men who comprise their Neighborhood Watch group who ultimately come across a plot to end the world. Seems like a fitting story to hand off to Goldberg and Rogen.

Currently Peter Segal is attatched to direct, but sadly his filmography isn't as strong as Goldberg and Rogen's. Then again, maybe he just needed the right material to work with, and possibly his work with this script can make up for GET SMART and 50 FIRST DATES.

We can however hold on to hope now that we have these two talented writers attached to the project.
