Susanne Bier to direct ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE
With fellow 2011 Oscar nominee Rachid Bouchareb finding a brand-new project, Best Foreign Film Oscar winner at last Sunday’s Academy Awards, Susanne Bier (IN A BETTER WORLD), has also gotten a brand-new film.
Variety is reporting that Bier will helm a film called ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE that will be a family-centered comedy. That is about all the detail we have with regards to the film, other than that it will be produced by Zentropa, Teodora Film, and Lumiere.
This joins the recently announced remake of RAPT that will be helmed by the director, proving that while she may not be a huge name to most, she’s definitely one of the most sought after filmmakers. LOVE is currently being cast and is looking to shoot come May.
Personally, I think this could be quite an interesting little project. However, the biggest selling point on this is that it sounds relatively small, meaning that we may very well see two films directed by Bier start shooting in 2011. This is a golden age, boys and girls. Let’s just bask in the awesomeness that is a world where we get two Bier films in production in a calendar year.
