SXSW 2010: BARRY MUNDAY trailer and stills
I’m incredibly excited to make the journey down to Austin, Texas for this year’s SXSW film festival. We’re going to have the opportunity to watch dozens of smaller films that might never see a wide release. These smaller independent films are what make a festival so great. Today, we’ve got a trailer for one such film- BARRY MUNDAY. Check it out, along with some stills, after the jump.
In short, Barry is a ladies man who loses his testicles in a tragic trumpet accident. Soon after his demasculinization, Barry is surprised to find a paternity claim waiting for him. Sounds quite interesting, no? The trailer had more than enough laughs, and the lead (Patrick Wilson) seems to have a great screen presence.
In addition to the trailer, we’ve gotten some production stills for your viewing pleasure!
So, looks pretty unique right? That’s probably one of the bigger benefits of these festivals, as they feature some of the most original projects out there. In addition, the performances look to be pretty solid despite most of the actors’ status as unknown.
BARRY MUNDAY will premiering on March 13th at 1:30pm in the Paramount Theater. SXSW reserves the Paramount for some of the biggest premieres, so I’m interested to see this film!
