Cannes is only a couple of months away now, and one of the films that will likely make its way to this year’s run of the historic festival is the latest from Spanish auteur, Pedro Almodovar, and now, thanks to El Pais (via the Playlist) we have a poster for it. too.

THE SKIN THAT I INHIBIT stars a massive cast of top tier Spanish talent, including Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Jan Cornet, Roberto Alamo, Blanca Suárez, Eduard Fernández, José Luis Gómez, Bárbara Lennie, Susi Sánchez, Fernando Cayo. and Teresa Manresa. It also see the director reteaming with composer Alberto Iglesias, DP Jose Luis Alcaine and editor Jose Salcedo.

A poster for the film has been released, and while it looks more like a promotional bookmark, it still is quite beautiful.  The film is based off of the Theirry Jonque novel, Tarantula, and follows a surgeon out for revenge on the man who raped his daughter.

Personally, I love this poster, and it goes without saying that Almodovar is one of the biggest names in cinema throughout the world. It features a great cast, and while this teaser poster isn’t much, it is still really gorgeous, and definitely amps up anticipation.
