While the film garnered quite a bit of solid buzz after it premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, the news surrounding James Wan’s latest film, INSIDIOUS, has relatively died down.

Well, now thanks to AICN, we have the film’s first trailer, and I must say, it looks quite interesting.

Set to bow on April 1, the film stars Rose Byrne, Patrick Wilson and Barbara Hershey, and follows a couple who must deal with their comatose son becoming a home for evil beings.  Sounds like your average horror film, but with Wan at the helm, it does sound like a really compelling project.  I love the cast, particularly Hershey, and while Wan hasn’t been proving himself to be all that great of a director, this one does look like a real return to form for the SAW creator.

What do you think about the trailer? Here’s the official synopsis:

A young family makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.
