Teaser trailer for Roland Joffe’s THERE BE DRAGONS debuts
No, it's not the Ebonics re-telling of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. Is it the long-awaited (not really) medieval farce from the Wayans Brothers? Nope. Is it another hilarious farce from Friedberg and Seltzer - this generation's Zucker Brothers (blasphemy)? Sorry to disappoint!
Actually, it's an epic action-adventure hybrid set against the dramatic backdrop of the Spanish Civil War, revolving around the positively true story of St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, the founder of Opus Dei - an Organization of the Catholic Church that helps people seek holiness in their work and ordinary activities.
No dragons were harmed in the making of this film, however, because well...there aren't any in the movie. The title shares its name with the novel by James A. Owen, and it simply refers to to our natural tendency to assume magical explanations for the unknown. Check out the teaser after the JUMP!
Roland Joffé has directed such classics as THE KILLING FIELDS, THE MISSION, and CITY OF JOY. The film also stars Charlie Cox, Wes Bentley, Olga Kurylenko, Rodrigo Santoro, Lily Cole, and Dougray Scott. So yeah...chances are it's going to be pretty damn good, yeah?
