Teaser trailer for THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN arrives
THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN has been a pretty interesting project to follow over the past year or two. The narrative has been one of gradual reveal, with the initial first look at the main character taking place over the course of a week. Since then we've had a ton of screen-caps, plot synopses, and everything in between.
Now, we've got a teaser trailer. Check it out, along with some of my thoughts on it, after the jump.
Honestly, this is some of the best motion-capture I've ever seen. It's substantially smoother and more lifelike that anything Robert Zemeckis does, especially because Tintin's eyes lack the distinct deadness of Jim Carrey's Scrooge. The rest of the visuals look great, but there isn't a great deal of plot reveal here, which is emblematic of the fact that it's a teaser.
In short, I can't wait to see a full length trailer for this. I feel like THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN might end up being one of the holiday season's surprise hits.
THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN hits theaters on December 23.
