The cast for HBO’s HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN announced
The rest of the cast for HBO’s HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN has been announced. These new cast members will join the already-confirmed Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen on the film, which “recounts the tumultuous romance and subsequent marriage of literary master Ernest Hemingway (Owen) and up-and-coming war correspondent Martha Gellhorn (Kidman), following them through the Spanish Civil War and beyond.” The project is being executive produced by James Gandolfini.
Joining Kidman and Owen will be David Straithairn, playing famous author John Dos Passos. Molly Park will be playing Hemingway’s second wife, with Parker Posey will play his fourth wife. Rodrigo Santoro will be playing Zarra, a friend of Dos Passos. Lars Ulrich will be playing Joris Ivens, a Dutch documentarian. Santiago Cabrera is cast as the famous war photographer Robert Capa. Saverio Guerra will play friend of Hemingway, Sidney Franklin, and Peter Coyote will play his editor Maxwell Perkins. Diane Baker will play Martha’s mother, and last but certainly not least Tony Shalhoub will play Koltsov, a Russian journalist.
HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN premieres on HBO next year.
