The Goon

Heck yes! It's been a long wait but THE GOON (the film adaptation of the Eric Powell comic book series by the same name) is finally coming to theaters. With that, we are finally getting a look into what the finished product looks like. Thanks to MTV, we now have a short teaser trailer for the film staring Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown who voice the two main characters (The Goon & Frankie). The comics follow two friends who essentially go around killing paranormal entities. Oh yeah, and the movie is animated. Prepare your mind for awesome and check out the trailer after the jump...

David Fincher and Blur Studios are behind the project which is apparent in the trailer. It's obvious that audiences should expect something comic and dark from the animated film. I for one could not be more excited! Having only read Volume 1 of the comics, I can't speak to the series overall but I am damn impressed with what they are attempting to accomplish in this film. Comic-Con goers can get all the details on the panel, which will have Mr. Giamatti in attendence. As for the rest of us, we'll just have to wait for more.

Does THE GOON look like something worth watching or is this just another non-Pixar mess? Leave your thoughts below!
