Apparently, one of this year’s most talked-about Oscar duos, director Tom Hooper and writer David Seidler, are set to recreate their KING’S SPEECH-inspired awards push with a brand new biopic of yet another historic royal figure.

Screen Daily is reporting (via The Film Stage), that the two will be teaming up for a new film based on the biography of Lady Hester Stanhope, entitled Star Of the Morning: The Extraordinary Life Of Lady Hester Stanhope, penned by Kirsten Ellis.

Stanhope was born in England in 1776, and served as secretary to her uncle, Prime Minister Pitt. After the death of her uncle, she made her way through Europe and the Middle East ultimately culminating in a really great tale of adventure.

Produced by KING’S SPEECH producer Gareth Unwin, the film should be starting production later this year. While for some apparent reason THE KING’S SPEECH has been getting a silly amount of backlash since awards season started, despite featuring both stunning direction and a great script, hopefully this film should follow suit. I’m a huge fan of SPEECH, and with this source material, this should be just as great a film.
