Washington's Quileute pack of eight-packed teen werewolves aren't the only game on the block - some girls don't mind just regular boys-turned-wolves, no Native American myths and vampiric vendettas necessary. Such is the case with author Maggie Stiefvater's "Shiver," a young adult novel that focuses on teen star-crossed lovers separated by fate and cruel magic. Now it looks like Stiefvater's hit is going to the big screen, sure to capitalize on the popularity of the TWILIGHT franchise.

Screenwriter Nick Pustay (of the upcoming RAMONA AND BEEZUS adaptation!) has been hired to pen a script based on "Shiver." Unique Features will produce the future film adaptation.

"Shiver" was released last August and has spent 31 weeks on the bestseller list. The book will see a sequel, "Linger," to be published in August. The first book focuses on lonely teen Grace, long preoccupied with a pack of wolves that live in the woods beyond her house. Most special to Grace is the yellow-eyed wolf she believes saved her from a vicious childhood attack by the rest of the pack. Little does Grace know that her yellow-eyed boy wolf is, well, actually a boy - Sam, turned wolf by a long ago bite. A twist of fate renders Sam human (temporarily), and the book focuses on the lovers as they deal with the inevitability of Sam's return to wolf world.

Any "Shiver" fans out there? Who would you like to see star in the SHIVER film?

I think Jack should be played by Greg Finley, and Olivia should be played by Meghan Park, I also think Michelle Horn could be Rachel, Gregg Sulkin could be Sam, and Emily Tennant could play Grace
