The people behind SAW and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY bring us INSIDIOUS
I'll be the first to say that the SAW series has been pretty awful after the second incarnation. The first was pretty amazing though, and really brought something to the table. This summer's PARANORMAL ACTIVITY made a very similar splash onto the genre, and will help evolve the genre too. So what would happen if the two teams united?
You'd get INSIDIOUS, a film that will be directed by James Wan (director of SAW) and Leigh Whannell (writer of SAW) and produced by Ohren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider, who were behind PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. The film is said to be fairly low budget, it seems as they want to pull what was good about their films into this one. The film was described as:
"a young family that makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further."
I'm sold on this one, James Wan has grown a lot as a director since the first SAW and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY was on my top ten last year. This movie has a lot going for it, I just hope that they can achieve what their previous films did.
