I am proud to say I'm a member of indieWIRE's criticWIRE network. Being a collection of over 100 film critics who rate and review films from festivals to theatrical releases all around the globe, indieWIRE brought me on (along with GATW's Managing Editor, Kate Erbland) this year at Sundance.

Yesterday, indieWIRE's Peter Knegt posted an article on the top rated documentary, Engligh-language, and foreign-language indie films of 2011 so far. Knegt also added the festival the film premiered at and the rating average. Among the ones I have seen from these lists, my favorites are Richard Ayoade's SUBMARINE, Jeff Nichols' TAKE SHELTER, Kim Jee-woon's I SAW THE DEVIL, and Richard Press's BILL CUNNINGHAM NEW YORK.

I haven't seen the top rated film in each category, but we do have reviews of the top English-language film (SOUND OF MY VOICE) and documentary (THE INTERRUPTERS), along with a number of others.
