We keep hearing that this year will bring us the return of Mickey Rourke...but what exactly does that mean? What are all these countless films he is apparently in? Why does his face look as if it is made out of an old baseball mitt? Unfortunately, I can only answer the first two questions with certainty. So here, for you, are the upcoming films of 'Sir' Eddie Cook.

Check them out after the jump!

KILLSHOT January 23, 2009 (Limited Release)

Beautiful Carmen Colson and her ironworker husband Wayne are placed in the Federal Witness Protection program after witnessing an "incident". Thinking they are at last safe, they are targeted by an experienced hit man (Mickey Rourke) and a psychopathic young upstart killer. The ensuing struggle will test Carmen to the limit.

THE INFORMERS April 4, 2009

A multi-strand narrative set in early 1980's Los Angeles, centered on an array of characters who represent both the top of the heap (a Hollywood dream merchant, a dissolute rock star, an aging newscaster) and the bottom (a voyeuristic doorman, an amoral ex-con). Connecting the intertwining strands are a group of beautiful, blonde young men and women who sleep all day and party all night, doing drugs -- and one another --with abandon, never realizing that they are dancing on the edge of a volcano.

13 2010

A naive young man assumes a dead man's identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power, violence, and chance where men gamble behind closed doors on the lives of other men.

SIN CITY 2 (rumored) 2010

In the dark bowels of Sin City, Dwight plans to have his vengeance against the woman who betrayed him, Ava Lord, while Nancy is trying to cope with Hartigan's death.

THE EXPENDABLES 2010

A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.

IRON MAN 2 (rumored) May 7, 2010

Plot unknown at this time.

Comment back with which one of these upcoming films featuring The Rourkester you are most excited about.

IRON MAN 2 (If that pans out at all)

SIN CITY 2 (Sin City was when his career was truly reborn in my opinion–it put him back on the map so he could land all of the brilliant roles he has landed)

THE INFORMERS–Though I hated the film adaptation of LESS THAN ZERO I loved the adaptation of AMERICAN PSYCHO and enjoyed RULES OF ATTRACTION,I love everything Ellis has written and THE INFORMERS is one of my favorite Ellis books. If the casting and poster (one of the most brilliant I have ever seen) are any indication this movie should be fantastic (hopefully.) Although I could have used a little Jeff Goldblum, his performance in IGBY GOES DOWN makes me think he would have fit very nicely in with this cast.
