THOR character posters and new photos debut
With the summer movie season opening earlier and earlier every year, the marketing for big tentpole films is already ramping up. In anticipation of its release, Marvel Entertainment has just released new THOR character posters and photos.

In case you can't keep all the superhero movies straight, THOR centers on the title character, who is a great warrior who lets his arrogance get in the way, causing him to start up an ancient war. He's cast out of his home planet of Asgard for his actions and banished to Earth to live amongst lowly humans. While on Earth, he learns to love and becomes a worthy hero in the Marvel Universe.
The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, and Natalie Portman, and will be released on May 6, 2011.
