THOR costume concept art brings the pain…and the photoshop?
The Norse Gods must be crazy! Yesterday we were given a first look at how Chris Evans would be wearing his Captain America duds. Now (thanks to Collider) we have been given yet another conceptual look at the full costume for THOR. Some have argued that these photos look too “photoshopped” to be real. While it’s not certain if they are legitimate or not, it still looks damn close!
Check out the pics and decide for yourself after the jump…
By the hammer of Thor…it’s…well, it’s THOR!!
See that hammer? Its name is Mjolner and if you try to pronounce that your tongue will explode.
Yes, these photos are heavy on the photoshopping but it’s more than we had before so stop complaining. If I had to choose between these and the Chris Evan’s as Captain America pics, I’d vote that Chris Hemsworth wins on the badass scale. The one exclusion from these two pictures is Thor’s helmet. My guess is that they are saving the “money shot” of Thor in full Thor gear for the trailer or something.
While there is some debate over the photos’ legitimacy, my vote does go in the “legit” pile. The costume itself looks believable to me, yet the face and hands to not. However, in contrast to Chris Evan’s Captain America costume concept pics, I just think that computerizing Hemsworth’s face is more difficult than doing the mask on Cap. Perhaps thats where there is some disparity in the pics? We will just have to wait until we see a trailer or more set photos to know if these are truly Thor incarnate.
Who wins out on the concept art Marvel beat-down: Captain America or Thor? Do you feel these are the legitimate THOR photos or are we being duped by a good photoshop? Leave your thoughts below!
