Rachel Weisz

Spy fans, you better be getting ready to turn your televisions to PBS come this fall, as one of the year’s most intriguing spy projects is heading your way. Variety is reporting that the David Hare-directed thriller, PAGE 8, is heading to PBS come the fall. What makes this project so special you ask? The cast.

Starring Rachel Weisz, Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon, Judy Davis, and Ralph Fiennes, the film boasts one hell of a top notch cast, rivaling the equally interesting TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY that will also be making its premiere sometime this year.

The film will be a part of the station’s Masterpiece series, and while there is no exact release date, it is expected to hit during the fall slate for the station. The film will follow the story Weisz’s character, a “beguiling woman of mystery,” with the title hinting that a document of some sort, and it’s eighth page, will turn the plot forward.

Personally, while I’m a bit bummed that the film won’t be hitting theaters this year, it is nice to know that we will be able to see the project, and see it in a readily available way. This is definitely one that I can’t wait to check out.
