It really must be liberating to get older: you don't really care what anyone thinks anymore, you can steal something and just pretend you're forgetful, and you can finally come out of the closet and tell your son you're gay. Wait...what was that last one?

It's true. In Mike Mills' buzzworthy flick BEGINNERS (that just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival), a 71 year old Christopher Plummer finally comes out to his son - a newly confused Ewan McGregor who begins to question his own relationships after Papa drops the bomb on him.

Check out two clips after the break that will make you want to see this movie. I promise. Have I ever lied to you?

The first clip is already classic, featuring Plummer adventuring into an "unch unch club" in order to see how the other half lives, only to discover that young twinks don't normally go for men in their seventies. What is the name for an older gay man, by the way? A chickenhawk, right? Or is that just in Britain?

This second clip features Melanie Laurent (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS) and it's just a treat to see her on screen again.
