TITANIC 3D April 2012

James Cameron really doesn’t like a day to go by without his name making its way to the forefront.

Thanks to the LA Times (via /Film), James Cameron’s previously stated hope for a spring 2012 release for the 3D version of his film, TITANIC, has indeed been confirmed, bringing the film back to theaters on April, 2012. This would be the 100 year anniversary of the ships sinking, which occurred on April 10, 1912.

So the film will most likely be seeing a release on Friday the 13th of April, but it may very well hit on the exact date, which in 2012 would be a Tuesday, not an unheard move in the film world.

While I don’t dislike the film, this is definitely not one that I’m really too keen on sitting through with those obnoxious glasses, knowing that it’s been converted. I’ve had a really tough time digging films in 3D that haven’t been shot in the format, so while this is Cameron, I really don’t have too much interest in the film.  That, and I really don’t care for the film as a film, so this is one thing I’ll probably be skipping.
