Tom Ford to helm a comedy next
While we still have no idea what exactly the film will be about, we are slowly starting to learn more and more about what exactly Tom Ford’s next film will be like.
And it’s going to be a whole different genre.
According to Vogue (via Vulture), the designer-turned-director is set to helm a new film, which will not only be “very different” from his first film, the stunning A SINGLE MAN, but it will in fact be a comedy. The director spoke to Vogue, saying that “A SINGLE MAN was my homo-angst movie. Now I’m shooting another. I’m writing the script – a comedy. I’m in the mood to have fun and smile.”
And so am I, as long as he brings his lush and arresting visual style. If so, we will be seeing a comedy, visually, unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And for that, I’m massively excited. He’s a fantastic filmmaker with a singular sense of style, and if that can be brought over to this new genre, it’s going to be a real winner. Hopes are high for this one.
