Top 5 Van Damme movie moments
I grew up on Van Damme and I don't consider claiming to still watch his movies a guilty pleasure. HARD TARGET, BLOODSPORT, KICKBOXER, CYBORG, and DOUBLE IMPACT were a huge part of my youth, so I decided what better than to scour YouTube and find 5 of my favorite Van Damme moments. See them after the jump!
5. HARD TARGET street fight- This was John Woo's first American film and Van Damme is just a bad ass here. The bad guys in this scene easily misjudged curly mullet and earrings. Big mistake.
4. KICKBOXER training scene- This is one of the best training scenes in movie cinema. Cinematographer Jon Kranhouse was kind of ahead of his time with this one.
3. DOUBLE IMPACT Bolo Yeung fight- Any scene with Van Damme fighting Bolo Yeung is epic. In this particular one, Bolo makes the mistake of ripping Van Damme's favorite shirt, resulting in a few of Van Damme's famous roundhouse kicks to the face.
2. KICKBOXER dance/fight scene- How could this scene NOT be in the countdown? I mean, he managed to pull two women while wearing some seriously heinous gear, dance with them, do his famous splits, shake his ass, and then kick lots of dudes asses while drunk. I salute you Van Damme.
JCVD monologue scene- OK being really serious about this one. Van Damme managed to show us that he can actually act. This is real acting folks, and if this scene does not move you, then you shouldn't be watching movies.
Movies YouTube don't carry scenes for that I wanted to add:
CYBORG
