This week brings the release of TOY STORY 3, the bittersweet conclusion to the adventures of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toy box gang. Round-up the family for this rounding out of Woody’s Round-Up but beware, partner – you may want to keep a box of tissues near, as this one is a tear jerker. And keep them close to that buckaroo known as “dad,” as his watering holes are likely to participate the most in the precipitation.

Bonus features include: “The Gang’s All Here” – A look at the returning voice talent for Toy Story 3, “Toys!” – A look at all the toys from updating classic characters to developing the Sunnyside Daycare and Bonnie’s Room toys, “Beginnings with Michael Arndt” – Screenwriter Michael Arndt analyzes successful opening scenes from ToyStory, Nemo and the Incredibles, and much, much more!

Heeey youuu guuuys! The 25th anniversary edition of THE GOONIES is out on Blu-ray and DVD today and you better believe I’ll be printing my own “hundred dolla bills” in order to purchase a copy faster than you can say “truffle shuffle!”

The disc includes a new board game, original movie storyboard reproductions, 1985 souvenir magazine reprint, and reprint of 2009 Empire Magazine article with cast photos and updates. Also included is one of the best commentary tracks ever, with director Richard Donner and all seven grown-up Goonies (who may be older now, but they still never say die), in which you can actually see Donner and the cast recording the commentary via picture in picture, as they reminisce about making what seems to be the most fun experience in the history of the words “fun” and “experience.”

I will forever be jealous, as I always dreamt of being able to slide down a water-filled cavernous chute into a cave that housed an ancient pirate ship. Alas, this may never happen…outside of my home made set using a Slip ‘N Slide and a lot of paper mache. My wife’s going to be so mad at me! At least with this new Blu-ray hi-def transfer, I will be able to continue living vicariously through The Goonies. Now looking back on my years, I can see that many of my major life decisions have been made under this influence.
