Trailer for BATMAN: YEAR ONE is kick-ass
Can’t wait until 2012 to get your Batman feature film fix? Well DC Comics has you covered. The first trailer for the DC Universe Animated Original Movie BATMAN: YEAR ONE has hit (via MTV), and it’s just the type of film one hopes for in this Dark Knight downtime.
The film is an adaptation of the beloved Frank Miller comic storyline of the same name, and looks at the origins of the Dark Knight and those surrounding him, like Jim Gordon and Catwoman, who herself receives a special short film with this release.
Set to be released on October 18 from WB Home Video on Blu-ray, DVD, On-Demand, and for download, YEAR ONE will also be premiering at this year’s Comic-Con. Personally, I can’t wait to check this thing out. I’m a huge fan of these WB/DC animated features, particularly their Batman pieces, like UNDER THE RED HOOD and especially GOTHAM KNIGHT. They really get the aesthetic and sense of style that makes Batman, Batman, and really give a lot of love to the releases.
