Trailer for GULLIVER’S TRAVELS hits the web, just without laughs

Wow, could one trailer be any more underwhelming?

Personally, when coming into this new year, which we are now almost halfway through, very few films were less interesting to me than Jack Black’s upcoming GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. And that is quite a feat, particularly with the cast that they have assembled.

The film stars Black, Emily Blunt (who had to skip out on IRON MAN 2 for this thing, poor gal), Jason Segel, Amanda Peet, and T.J. Miller, and I still find it hard to muster up any interest for the film. Now we have the film’s first trailer, and it may very well be the worst two and a half minutes I’ve spent all day. And I’ve been doing physical labor all day. Not only does the film look utterly laughless, but it appears as though we may have reached the point where Jack Black’s shtick just annoys instead of inspiring laughs. The CGI looks dreadful and, when looking at this year’s Christmas slate, definitely doesn’t make me want to skip out on my annoying family dinners to run to the theaters and see this. Check out the trailer after the break.

For those who do find this interesting however, the film when hits theaters on December 22.
