Some of our readers may be more familiar with the work of Jack Harris than others. In 1995, Harris hooked up with two struggling entrepreneurs, Wayne Beering and Buck Dolby, and revolutionized how people get their porn. Jack helps guide the business, becoming one of the pioneers of internet commerce (and rolling in dough), but soon finds himself involved with corrupt politicians, drug addicts, porn stars, international terrorists and the FBI. It seems impossible to imagine a world where you can't buy literally anything on the web, but it really wasn't that long ago. This film looks like it has everything...sleaze, money, sex, and um...it's educational. August can't get here soon enough.
MIDDLE MEN hits theaters on August 6, 2010. The film stars Giovanni Ribisi, Luke Wilson, James Caan, Terry Crews, Kelsey Grammer, Christopher McDonald, Gabriel Macht, and Kevin Pollak. The film was written (with Andy Weiss) and directed by George Gallo (MIDNIGHT RUN). MIDDLE MEN premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival to positive reviews. The film will be released under the Paramount Vantage label.
