Ever since he launched onto the scene with his brilliant (and bleak as all hell) music video for M.I.A.’s powerful and intense "Born Free", we’ve all been waiting patiently for news on what exactly Romain Gavras was going to do as his feature debut.

That long form music video not only proved that he could hold his own in today’s film landscape, but that he was following right in the steps of his father, Costa-Gavras, as a truly gifted and smart filmmaker.  Well, thanks to Twitch (via The Playlist), we now have our first glimpse at his upcoming outing, the Vincent Cassel starring film, OUR DAY WILL COME.

The film stars Cassel and Olivier Barthelemy, and follows a teen who leaves for Ireland after being victim of abuse from people around him.  We now have our first trailer for the film, and while there is no U.S. release set for this project, I can’t help but look forward to this film.  Romain proved with "Born Free" that he is a stunning visual filmmaker, and also quite the gifted storyteller, as he is able to pack a 9 minute video with one hell of an interesting comment on violence and government.  I’m looking for this feature to be nothing different.  It looks breathtaking, and I can’t wait to see this thing.
