No, despite this film's title, SECRETARIAT is not a film about a robotic secretary that can transform into a Fiat. I know, I was disappointed as well.

Instead, it is yet another inspirational sports-centered tale from Walt Disney Pictures about the underdog (or in this case horse) that overcomes impossible odds in the face of adversity. The film centers around a champion horse named Secretariat that brings together the lives of three people and, in the process, changes the horse racing gaming as it is known. SECRETARIAT stars Diane Lane as Penny Tweedy, the new owner of a horse breeding farm that has been passed down through her family. John Malkovich stars as former racing jockey turned trainer Lucien Laurin hired by Tweedy to train Secretariat who went on to become the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in 25 years.

Based on a true story, SECRETARIAT is directed by Randall Wallace (BRAVEHEART) with a script from Mike Rich (THE ROOKIE).
