Trailer for THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU hits

With the summer officially underway, trailers for some of the year’s most hotly anticipated films are getting released.

One of these films happens to be one of the bigger for the upcoming fall season, and is Universal’s upcoming action thriller: THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU.  The film stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anthony Mackie, and John Slattery; and is based on a short story penned by sci-fi legend, Philip K. Dick.  It follows a politician and a ballerina who are thrust into the middle of a game of cat-and-mouse when they find out that the world that they live in isn’t quite what they expect.  The world is actually controlled by a secret organization that does more than anyone could quite expect.

The film is yet another step by Universal to try and bring back the adult thriller, and hopefully the film will do better than the studio’s previous attempts like STATE OF PLAY or this year’s GREEN ZONE.  It looks like a truly taught and intense thriller, and with the cast assembled, I can’t help but be excited.  It’s directed by George Nolfi, writer of THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, so you know that the film is going to be rather tense.

The trailer itself looks really great as well. It's visually impressive, and really, that cast is impossible to go wrong with. Being Nolfi’s first directorial outing, this could very well be the hit both critically and audience wise that the studio has been waiting for.  What do you think?

About Joshua Brunsting

Born in the tiny Michigan city known as Holland, and raised in the even smaller city known as Saugatuck, I have been a film geek for the majority of my life, and have known film was my passion ever since the final frame of THE LION KING. I’m a romantic with a thing for 60’s pop music (preferably French), John Keats poems, and an even bigger thing for film noir. Currently a Journalism Major at Grand Valley State University, I am using my love of film, and my deathly, ninja-like, skill behind the keyboard to slowly take over the world. When I’m not writing about or watching film, I’m listening to music, particularly from the likes of TV on the Radio, Best Coast, and Semi Precious Weapons. I play the ukulele, and I also have a deep and intense love for Gustavo Santaolalla and Ennio Morricone, but then again, who doesn’t. I was drum major for my high school marching band for two years, I’m one of the four people who actually watched Dollhouse, and my favorite film of all time is Godard’s BREATHLESS. I’m a wannabe screenwriter, a wild thing, a nerd, a geek, and most importantly, I’m a lover of film. Oh, and I want to be Captain Planet when I grow up.
