Trailer for THE CONSPIRATOR hits
With Sundance 2011 almost over, the festival’s head honcho, Robert Redford, is back with a trailer for his own directorial feature, THE CONSPIRATOR, and I must say, it’s not my favorite thing in the world.
The film debuted at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, and was met with far from positive reviews, leaving many studios passing on its rights. Now however, thanks to Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, we have the first trailer for the hotly anticipated film, and while it is a really weak trailer, there is still a lot to look forward to.
Starring James McAvoy, Robin Wright, Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Alexis Bledel, Danny Huston, Kevin Kline, Tom Wilkinson, Johnny Simmons, Stephen Root, and Toby Kebbell, the film follows the story of the only female charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. She and her lawyer must try to uncover the truth, as her life depends on it. Check out the trailer after the break.
The film is set to bow on April 15, and with Robert Redford at the helm, you can expect to hear a lot about this film throughout the coming months.
