While we’ve seen very little from the film, one of the most interesting films coming to us in the early part of the year is the upcoming HBO drama, THE SUNSET LIMITED.

Starring Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson, the film is also directed by Jones, and now, thanks to Videogum (via The Playlist), we have the film’s first trailer, and despite how loud Jackson is in all of his Al Pacino-like glory, the film looks absolutely fantastic.

The film is Jones’ adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy play, and follows two men, Black and White, who meet after Black saves White from jumping in front of the train from which the film draws its title. The play is a single location piece, and doesn’t seem to have changed much in bringing to cinema. I love this trailer and while it does seem to be along the lines of say something like COFFEE AND CIGARETTES, in how hyper-talky it is, I do absolutely adore its pure stage style and real focus on drama.
