TRANSFORMERS 3 not as “robot-heavy?” That is what Michael Bay is saying
Michael Bay loves to cram as much action and spectacle as possible into his films, and it feels like he tries to out do himself with each film. Michael Bay films get bigger, not smaller. However, there are two things Bay is saying there won't be as much as in TRANSFORMERS 3 than in the previous TRANSFORMERS films, and surprisingly it is robots and explosions, and not clothes (on women) and restraint (if he has any left).
This information came from a Q & A with Michael Bay that happened during an event about the sound work of TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. "Although the number of robots increased significantly from the first film for the second, the third film -- which will hit theaters in summer 2011, won’t be as robot-heavy and there will be fewer explosions, a tight-lipped Bay said after the Q+A."
This makes it sound like like we wouldn't be getting over-whelmed/annoyed with too many epic robot battles and explosion and explosion, which was happened with TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. More of a balance with TRANSFORMER 3 sounds good to me, as watching the the robotic action in TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN was like eating 12 candy bars in a row, even though they are enjoyable, you would eventually just get sick of them, and in general, if you had that much.
